As Presbyterians we believe that we are called for service as well as salvation. Through an extensive program of Giving Boxes at Thanksgiving and our connections to various community service organizations, and through our partnership with the churches in Magumoni Parish in Chuka, Kenya we seek to live into that commitment. For a complete list of the Missions we support   Click here

  • Harford Community Action Agency

    HCAA’s mission is to help all Harford County individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardships in meeting their housing, food, energy/heating.

    Harford Family House is the largest provider of transitional housing for families with children experiencing homelessness and unaccompanied adults ages 18-24 in Harford Cnty.

    Their mission is to transform empty houses into homes by providing quality, donated furniture and home goods to those in need in Harford County.

THE GIVING BOXES

The Giving Boxes is a combined effort with Knox Presbyterian Church in Baltimore to provide food for Thanksgiving dinner and additional meals to over 1000 families in need in Baltimore City, Harford County, and surrounding areas.


Preparations have begun for our Giving Boxes for 2024. A food drive for non-perishable food on our list begins in September and will continue through the Fall.

Box Packing Day at Christ Our King Presbyterian Church begins at 8:30 am on Saturday, November 23, 2024.  With your help, the 1000 boxes will be filled with food and loaded on to trucks, ready for distribution to families throughout Maryland on Monday of Thanksgiving week.


Turkeys and additional food will need to be purchased from local grocery stores and big box stores.  Therefore, additional funds are needed.  The cost of one Giving Box (frozen turkey plus box of food for Thanksgiving dinner and additional meals) is $50.00.
