Courageously Striving to Connect the World to Christ
Christ Our King is a Presbyterian Church (USA) which welcomes all who seek to know Jesus Christ and grow in their discipleship. Through worship, study, song and prayer, we find our life as a community of God’s people. We reach out to the world through our mission projects and relationships.
to share with us the journey of faith.
While the church remains closed, we have an opportunity to be “better when
we’re back together," taking time to journey together to learn more about
issues of race and racism. Racial inequity is a part of our history as a world
that we cannot ignore. As Christians, we are called by Christ to challenge
these inequities, and we recognize that ignoring them goes against the will of
Christ which is “to unite all things in him” (Ephesians 1:10).
This is an invitation to participate in a 21 Day Race Equity Challenge, adapted
by Myers Park Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) in Charlotte, NC, from the work
of Dr. Eddie Moore. Myers Park PC has given us permission to use this
resource as an opportunity to listen, learn and grow together, and reflect on
ways to promote antiracism in our community. At the end of the 21 days,
there will be an opportunity to gather for a time of reflection.
The 21-day challenge will run from Monday, June 22 through Sunday, July 12.
We hope you'll join us.
