Sunday School occurs September - June from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. between our 8:15 and 11:00 worship services. It is for all ages! We begin each year with Celebration Sunday, the Sunday after Labor Day. Celebration Sunday brings our church family together to celebrate and discover more about learning and serving opportunities offered at Christ Our King. It is also a time for Sunday school registration, fun, and fellowship. Most classes begin the following Sunday. We also offer nursery care during Sunday school and worship for infants and toddlers through age three.

With Scripture as its central focus, our Sunday school classes offer a time to actively engage and recognize God the Father, build relationship with the Living Christ, gratefully accept the comfort and counsel of the Holy Spirit, and to work toward bringing the peace and grace of the Triune God to the world.

• Children in PreK4 - 5th grade attend Bible Trek, which promotes learning major Bible stories and concepts through various, multi-modal workshops (called zones). We teach the same Bible story in the zones for four to six weeks, using various modes of learning. Children are grouped by grade and follow a rotation schedule attending a different zone each week.
  

• Youth in 6th-8th grade attend the Alpha zone. Here they explore how to put their Faith in Motion. Through a series of workshop lessons (without rotation), these kids learn about living their faith during the challenging times of middle school life.
  

• High school youth attend the Omega zone, where together as a group, they choose the books of the Bible and current issues they’d like to study. They will, on occasion, attend an Adult class when the topic or issue is of interest to them. They occasionally assist with Bible Trek.

• Adults currently have three classes from which to choose. Our Emanuel class offers traditional Bible study in a small group setting; the Sojourners class offers topical Bible and Christian book studies; our third class offers less traditional Bible Study in a large group setting.

In addition to Sunday school, we offer Children’s Church for children ages 4 – 2nd grade during the 11:00 a.m. worship service. After the “Message for Children and All,” these children are dismissed to Children’s Church for engaging, Bible-centered activities that conclude at the end of worship.

Parents are encouraged to attend our adult education classes. We are striving to provide an enriching learning experience for the whole church family. Please Join Us!
